Day 2--Animals in Yellowstone

We were so thankful that we got to Yellowstone early Wednesday morning, because it was nice and empty and peaceful for us. Our number one goal was to see some cool animals, especially bison. The first animals we saw were these mule deer hanging out by the stream.
Later, we sat for about an hour in front of Old Faithful, waiting for it to erupt. Meanwhile, this lovely bison was all of a sudden just strolling along right in front of the huge crowd of people! It seemed like he was giving some sort of show, as he walked in a circle in front of everyone. He was probably only about 30 feet or so in front of us. He even stopped and rolled around in the dust for us a little bit.
Here you can see how close he is to the crowd, though it's when he was getting a little further away.
Later, we were leaving the park, worried that we might never see a bison again, when--surprise--we caught these bison chillin' in the meadow. We had to flip a U-turn to take some pictures of them, and I was pretty scared they were going to kill us because my mom was yelling "heeeeeey bison!" Luckily, they didn't seem to be bothered.
